Marching Band

Marching Band begins in the summer with a two-week Band Camp experience and runs through late November during the fall semester. The ensemble is comprised of brass and woodwind musicians, drum majors, color guard, and percussion. Marching Band competes in field tournaments and performs at school sporting events, community events, parades, and other performances throughout the season.

Color Guard/Winter Guard

Color Guard performs choreographed interpretive dance using flags, simulated rifles, sabres, and props to complement the marching band show. Color Guard performs in competitive field shows alongside the marching band and also participates in school sporting events and community performances. During the winter season, Winter Guard performs and competes separately in indoor competitions without the marching band.

Indoor Percussion

Indoor Percussion consists of snare drums, tenor drums, bass drums, cymbals, and the front ensemble/pit, which includes marimbas, vibraphones, bells, and synthesizers. Indoor Percussion performs technical musical productions at competitions and public events throughout the winter and spring seasons.

Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble is comprised of experienced woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians performing advanced musical compositions and arrangements. Students perform at adjudicated music festivals, concerts, and community events throughout the school year. Wind Ensemble begins following the fall marching season and continues through the spring semester.

Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band students perform moderate to advanced musical literature that builds upon foundational rehearsal and performance skills. The Symphonic Band performs for school events, community performances, concerts, and adjudicated music festivals throughout the school year.

Jazz Band

Jazz Band performs classic jazz standards, contemporary jazz compositions, and a variety of musical styles including swing, blues, Latin, funk, and more. Students develop improvisational skills, musicianship, and small ensemble performance techniques throughout the season.
